Jesus-the only One who never knew sin-was the only one who could shed His precious blood and give mankind the opportunity for eternal life.  Because of God's holiness, there can be no forgiveness of sins without  the shedding of blood.  Our Savior gave His life so that your sin-stained garments could be washed whiter than snow.

The assurance of your salvation rests not on the shifting sands of your emotions but upon the solid ground of God's unchanging promises.  Some believers unfortunately live in a state of anxiety, where they constantly wonder about the security of their soul.  Once you've asked Christ to be your Lord and Savior, you can be sure of your eternal destiny.  settle this issue in your mind by learning that Jesus died for all of your sins-past, present, and future.
