Mankind has always struggled with obeying the Lord's commands.  Sadly, many people today fall into the trap of viewing obedience to God as many did in Christ's day: the Pharisees were percise in their efforts to follow countless guidelines for conduct and diet.  Yet their glaring weakness was  to focus on the letter of the Law while disregarding its spirit.  The outward behavior of these religious leaders may have appeared pious, but their hearts were actually far from the kingdom of God.  

true allegiance begins with your thoughts and continues all the way through to your actions and attitudes.

Decide today that, regardless of your circumstances, you will obey God and leave the consequences  to Him.  Just as obedience brings the Father's rewards disobedience results in difficulity, no matter what age, God's children will be blessed by learning to "trust and obey."
